Структура собственности

2014.09.17 Vimpelcom ЛТД. и Global Telecom Holding (GTH, 51,9% — у Vimpelcom) реализует долю в Globalive Wireless Management Corp. (Wind) приблизительно за $123 млн (135 млн канадских долларов) компании Globalive Capital (ранее AAL Holdings), что есть осуществляющим контроль акционером GWMC. Кроме этого Globilive Capital возьмет на себя долг GWMC перед поставщиками оборудования на $145 млн. Средства от сделки должны поступить на квитанции Vimpelcom.

2011 Vimpelcom стал совладельцем GWVC в 2011 году в рамках приобретения Wind Telecom.

GTH обладает 32% голосующих долей в GIHC (Globalive Investment Holding), у которых в собствености 100% GWMC и 65% экономических долей. 67% и 34% принадлежат Globalive Capital.

2011.07.01 The legality of the ownership structure for operations in Canada is being challenged.
Under the Canadian Telecommunications Act, certain telecommunications companies operating in Canada may not be controlled by non-Canadians.

OTH holds its interest in WIND Mobile and other Canadian telecommunications companies through Globalive Investment Holdings Corp. (“Globalive Holdings”). OTH indirectly holds 65.08% of the outstanding shares of Globalive Holdings and 32.02% of voting rights.
Industry Canada, the Canadian governmental body responsible for awarding spectrum licenses, ruled that WIND Mobile was in compliance with Canadian ownership and control rules and granted WIND Mobile spectrum licenses on March 16, 2009.
On October 29, 2009, the Canadian Radio Television and Telecommunications Commission (“CRTC”), an independent regulatory body that regulates and supervises Canadian broadcasting and telecommunications systems, decided that WIND Mobile was not in compliance with Canadian ownership and control rules, and was therefore not eligible to operate as a telecommunications common carrier in Canada.
On December 11, 2009, the Government of Canada varied the decision of the CRTC by Order in Council, confirming that WIND Mobile met the Canadian ownership and control rules and clearing it to commence operations.

Following this decision, WIND Mobile commenced commercial operations on December 16, 2009.
Shortly after, certain of WIND Mobile’s competitors filed an application challenging the decision of the Government of Canada, and on February 4, 2011, the Federal Court of Canada ruled (the “Federal Court Ruling”) that the Government of Canada’s decision contained two legal errors and should be quashed. WIND Mobile appealed the Federal Court Ruling and was successful in its appeal. The appeal decision in favor of WIND Mobile may, however, be further appealed by the claimants. If the claimants were successful on any such appeal, and assuming that the Government of Canada does not render the Federal Court Ruling moot by changing the Canadian ownership and control rules or issuing a new or varied Order in Council, then the shareholders in WIND Mobile could be required to make changes to the ownership structure or financing arrangements in an effort to have the CRTC determine that WIND Mobile is compliant with those rules, which could have a material adverse affect on its business, prospects, financial condition and results of operations and/or could affect OTH’s interest in and/or revenue from WIND Mobile.

2015.12.11 Nokia выстроит LTE для Wind Mobile в Канаде. Соглашение заключено на 5 лет.

В его рамках Nokia Networks обеспечит поставку комплексного ответа, включая развертывание новой радиоподсистемы LTE, виртуализированного ядра и OSS (NetAct). Компания кроме этого развернет полноценное облачное ядро на базе OpenStock, включающее все нужные элементы: IMS, HSS, VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, EPC. А ведь совсем сравнительно не так давно казалось, что полная виртуализация сетей 4G — дело отдаленного будущего.

Компания закупит кроме этого услуги по развертыванию сети, оптимизации и планированию, и услуги помощи для обеспечения успешного внедрения.

2013. GWMC решила не принимать участие в аукционе на частоты для развития разработки LTE. Обстоятельство — невозможность взять операционный контроль над GWMC и отказ от продолжения развития этого бизнеса с целью его продажи.

Тестовая территория продемонстрировала скорости до 60 Мбит/с Тестирование идет с февраля 2011 года. Компания заявляет о замыслах развертывания LTE. ..2011.04..
